Poszukiwania Szczątków Liberatora B24J EW250L
On April 21 with the TV Program crew "It was not over" edited by Adam Sikorski and the group of the "WIZNA 1939" Association.
A search for the remains of the Liberator B24J EW250L was carried out: The second launch of the South African Air Force SAAF, the 250th group of the Royal Air Force RAF.
The whole action was organized by the Social Committee commemorating RAF and SAAF pilots of the crew of the aforementioned Aircraft.
The action was fully successful. Pratt and Whitney model R1630 14 cylinder with 900HP power, belonging to Liberator was found. The implementation of the TV program was supported by the decision of Mr. Wójt Sławomir Kowalczyk to engage the Excavator which experienced Operator Mr. Jan Sender with a high precision and delicacy extracted a deeply grounded Liberator engine. The action was accompanied by the Unit of the State Fire Service Kocin, which provided the source of water allowing for leaching clay finds and transporting valuable finds instead of temporary depositing for further development and destination. The television program will be broadcast on TVP3 Kielce and TVP Historia.
